Truck Crane Service to host commission meeting

Truck Crane Service, Eagan, MN will host the fall meetings of the NCCCO Commission, October 10–13, 2005 in Minneapolis.

In addition to the meeting of the Commission, the four–day event will include meetings of the Written Exam Management Committee and the Practical Exam Management Committee for the mobile crane program, as well as both Task Forces created to develop NCCCO's new operator certification programs: Overhead Cranes and Tower Cranes.

Most meetings are open to registered guests, although committee chairmen may close meetings, or portions of meetings, at any time. Anyone interested in attending should send a request via e–mail to [email protected].

Company history

Truck Crane Service is part of the Phillippi Equipment Group, founded in 1974 by Tony Phillippi. Its primary focus is the purchase, sale and rental of cranes. Affiliated companies also include PECO Equipment, specializing in crushing equipment, and Hux parts and attachments.

Truck Crane Service's, Paul Doran, noted that his company participated in one of the very first CCO written exams ever held, in April 1996. Earlier this year, the state voted to require certification of crane operators effective July 2007 (see ACT, July 2005).
