Unic launches electric mini spider crane
01 July 2024

Reduced carbon emissions are a key benefit of the new Unic UM325 Pop Up mini spider crane.
It is powered by a high-capacity lithium battery pack and can be charged from the grid while it is working.
The UM325 has a 10 metre boom and a new hydraulic telescoping luffing jib and searcher hook attachment. The attachment has a capacity of 1,000 kg. It extends from 2 to 5.7 metres and can be luffed with an offset between -10 and 80 degrees. Maximum lifting height is 17.8 metres and the working radius reaches 16 metres.
Adjustable track width allows maximum stability and manoeuvrability in the available space, especially on pick and carry duty.
Commenting on the new model Graeme Riley, Unic Cranes Europe CEO, said, “After unveiling our prototype at Bauma 2022, we sparked considerable interest from our dealer network clients. Following this, we’ve collaborated closely with Unic Furukawa in Japan to further develop the product’s capabilities for the UK and European markets.”

Fully developed
Riley continued, “Now, we’re ready to distribute our first batch of UM325 cranes through our dealer network and make them available for hire in the UK market.”
The outriggers can be set at a choice of five off settable angles and three different extensions, allowing operation in tighter, more restricted areas. “The pop-up turret design enables the crane to be used closer to walls and obstacles than ever before by reducing the rear overhang, providing maximum versatility,” Riley explained.
Controls include a full remote for travelling, setup, outrigger deployment, including auto-levelling, and all crane functions. Lifting operations are kept safely in check by a RaycoWylie i4500 system.
Non-marking tracks are included as standard.
