Vanguard expands with office in Hong Kong
24 July 2024
South African transport, heavy lifting and installation specialist Vanguard has opened an office in Hong Kong.
It is the company’s seventh office and its first in Asia. The others are in Africa and Europe. Vanguard Pacific Trading Limited opened on 11 July and the team went straight to work.
Commenting on the move Laura Hodgkinson, Vanguard senior manager, said, “The Vanguard team are continuously looking for ways to better service our customer base and we’re very excited to finally announce our new office in Hong Kong. This office not only provides a base to service our clients within Asia, but also supports our international project cargo shipping offering.”
Major milestone
Established as a private company in 1974, Vanguard marks a major anniversary this year. “We’re celebrating our 50th year this year and it’s great that the business still has the same passion for growth as it did at the beginning. Alongside the new office, we’re also investing heavily in our equipment fleet with a range of new equipment due to arrive in the coming months. All of this combines to continue the expansion of the Vanguard business whilst also adding greater value to the heavy lift and specialist transport market in general.”
The company has worked in Australia, Japan, India, Turkey, Kazakhstan and many other countries. It is a winner of the prestigious SC&RA Rigging Job of the Year award.
