An innovative temporary bridge that allows traffic to flow over the top of it, as road resurfacing works take place underneath it, has returned to service after a revamp.

The Astra Bridge, which is being assessed by Switzerland’s Federal Roads Office (FEDRO), has been in operation on the A1 road towards Zurich between Recherswil and the Luterbach junction for several weeks.
