Walter Payton Power Equipment adds Hiab cranes to portfolio
25 March 2026
Walter Payton Power Equipment (WPPE) has been appointed as a dealer for Hiab hydraulic loader cranes, extending its lifting and material handling offering across the US states of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Kentucky.
The move aligns with Hiab’s rollout of a new dealer network and positions WPPE as a key partner in the Midwest.
Walter Payton Power Equipment has been named an authorized Hiab dealer, expanding its lifting equipment lineup across four Midwest states in the US.
The dealership agreement adds a range of loader and specialty cranes to WPPE’s portfolio, including the Hiab Hi-Pro 425 Drywall Crane and the Hiab 352E.8. The Hi-Pro 425 is designed for high-capacity drywall handling with fast load cycles, while the 352E.8 offers a maximum outreach of 74 feet 5 inches (22.7 metres) and is aimed at heavy-duty construction and infrastructure applications.
Streamlined operation
Hiab’s technology offering also features systems designed to streamline operation and maintenance. Its Semi Automatic Folding system enables operators to fold and unfold the crane using a single remote control function, reducing setup time and simplifying operation.
Mike Noonan, WPPE sales, said the addition of Hiab strengthens the company’s ability to deliver a broader range of lifting solutions. “This partnership allows us to provide our customers with even more advanced lifting solutions, supported by the service and expertise they’ve come to expect from Walter Payton Power Equipment,” he added.
