Wendel Group takes delivery of Klaas K2500 mobile crane
01 April 2026
The Wendel Group has extended its range of lifting and hoisting equipment with the addition of a new Klaas K2500 mobile crane.
Bringing the new crane into the fleet will help expand operational capabilities. The Klaas K2500 has hook heights up to 59 metres, while platform working heights can reach 51 metres.
Maximum lift capacity of 4.5 tons will also help to build the service portfolio, which will now extend to component assembly, roof and façade work and industrial maintenance projects.
These will be supported by a lateral reach which can be extended to 37.50 metres.
“With this investment we are continuing our growth trajectory,” said Holger Stahl, managing director of Crane Rental at the Wendel Group. “With more than 200 machines available for rent, we have a broad range of offerings.”
The Klaas K2500 further features an aluminium mast system. It also has a triple-telescoping jib that makes the new mobile crane suitable for small and confined work spaces.
With a specially designed join between the main and auxiliary booms, the crane can manage loads of up to 1,000 kg, even with the folding jib at a 90-degree angle.
Based on a 32-ton Volvo chassis, three of the four axles are steered which helps to improve manoeuvrability. The K2500 can be operated on public roads with no special permits or escort vehicles.
