The eight-axle, 600-ton lift capacity crane features the maximum system length of 478.3 feet and the Demag IC-1 Plus control system designed to provide the crane’s maximum allowable lifting capacity, based on the slewing angle, for every crane configuration.

“We are dedicated to giving customers the highest quality of value-added services available,” explained Michelle Grubb-Solaimani, CFO of W.O. Grubb Crane Rental. “To do that, we make it a point to carry the latest in crane innovation and the Demag AC 500-8 all terrain crane certainly fits in that category. It features industry leading innovations that will enhance the productivity of our customers. We know they will be pleased with this unit’s performance.”

The Demag AC 500-8 all terrain crane has the shortest carrier length of its class and x-pattern outriggers that are designed to provide on-the-job stability. The crane also comes with the Demag patented Sideways Superlift (SSL) for a superior lifting performance.

“W.O. Grubb is a leader in the crane industry and we’re glad to have them as a customer,” said Andrew Longacre, regional business manager for Terex Cranes. “They already own a number of Terex and Demag cranes in their fleet, and we’re sure the Demag AC 500-8 will be a productive and profitable addition. Demag cranes offer the perfect blend of flexibility and productivity and have a reputation for delivering a high return on investment.”
