Yılnak acquires Mağdenli in Turkey

Heavy transport specialist Yilnak has acquired fellow Turkish company Mağdenli Heavy Transport.

Yılnak operates in project logistics, heavy transport and heavy lifting. It said the acquisition will strengthen its “engineering-driven end-to-end service capability.” Mağdenli Heavy Transport is a well established and experienced operator.

Yılnak–Mağdenli now has a centrally managed structure to operate the full range of project logistics, heavy transport and heavy lifting. “Fleet capacity, equipment diversity and the scale of site teams have increased significantly, while planning, engineering calculations and operational control processes are being managed through a more robust and structured system,” the company said.

A primary driver for the acquisition was to be able to offer a full end-to-end service, Yilnak said. From project planning to carrying out the lifting and transport everything is done with engineering and safety at the forefront.

Top ranking

Already holding 38th place in the International Cranes and Specialized Transport IC Transport 50 global ranking of specialized transport equipment owning compaies, could see the acquisition boost this placing. The company said it is aiming for further controlled sustainable growth.

Commenting on the acquisition, Ömer Gece, Yilnak general manager, said, “Our objective in bringing Mağdenli into Yılnak was not simply to grow in size. We approach project logistics, heavy transport and heavy lifting not as separate activities, but as a single engineering chain. Safety and engineering discipline are not slogans for us; they form the basis of every decision we make in the field. Today we are ranked 38th globally in the IC Transport 50, and this step is part of our plan to move forward in a more controlled and sustainable way.”

Mağdenli Heavy Transport will continue its operations within Yılnak. “While its field experience and established working culture will be preserved, operations will be carried out in line with Yılnak’s planning, engineering and safety standards,” Yilnak said.
