The alliance brings together two companies with a shared ambition to deliver operational excellence and support sustainable growth. “By combining Yilnak’s five decades of expertise in oversized transport and wind energy logistics with Somalev’s robust operational base in Morocco, the partnership will offer seamless solutions in transport, installation, and assembly across Northwest Africa and Southern Europe,” Yilnak said.

Learning investment

A vital element of the collaboration is the Yilnak Academy, accredited by the Turkish Ministry of Transport. It provides training and certification for operators and engineers, to international standards, Yilnak explained.

“In partnership with Somalev, we will establish the Yilnak & Somalev Academy in Morocco, extending this model of excellence to nurture local talent, create opportunities, and strengthen the region’s capacity to deliver on its renewable energy ambitions,” Yilnak continued.

Commenting on the new development Mohamed Moufid, Somalev chief executive officer, said, “I am proud to announce this strategic partnership with Yilnak, one of Turkey’s leading heavy transport and project logistics companies. With this alliance, Somalev strengthens its regional presence by joining forces with a trusted partner that shares our vision for innovation, safety, and engineering excellence.

For his part Ömer Gece, Yilnak, managing director, commented, “At Yilnak we are excited to partner with Somalev, Morocco’s national leader in heavy lifting and integrated logistics. From our very first discussions with Mohamed Moufid and his team, it was clear we share the same ambition: to advance renewable energy logistics and set new benchmarks for operational excellence.

“With Yilnak’s five decades of expertise in oversized transport and project logistics combined with Somalev’s strong local presence and operational base, we will deliver innovative, reliable, and cost-efficient solutions tailored to the unique needs of the region.”

Regional development

Mohamed Moufid continued, “Together, we will deliver world-class solutions in transport, installation, and assembly for renewable energy and infrastructure projects across Northwest Africa and Southern Europe. This partnership not only broadens our service capabilities but also opens new opportunities for the development of local talent through the Somalev & Yilnak Academy in Morocco.

“We see this as the beginning of a new chapter for Somalev and the heavy lift industry in the region – one where higher standards and long-lasting value will define every project we undertake.”
