Cavotec’s next-gen remotes for harsh industrial use

Shock-absorbing frames and IP66 protection make the units ideal for tough job sites.

Cavotec introduced a new generation of industrial radio remote controls at the Bauma 2025 trade show. Engineered for flexibility, operator comfort and advanced safety, the systems are for use in a wide range of demanding environments and applications.

The new controls offer PLe/SIL3-rated emergency stop functionality, PLc-rated operating functions, and an IP66 ingress protection rating for use in harsh conditions. The systems can operate in temperatures ranging from minus thirty degrees Celsius to plus sixty degrees Celsius.

Customizable configurations and optional displays, such as a Codesys screen, Cavotec-programmed display, or LED feedback, enable real-time system monitoring. The units are lightweight, ergonomically designed and fitted with shock-absorbing guards to protect components and prevent accidental input.

“With these new radio remote controls, we’re giving operators greater control and comfort in their daily tasks while maintaining the highest safety standards,” said Norman Palmer, product manager for radio remote controls, Cavotec.
