28 April 2025

Japanese transport and lifting specialist contractor Denzai is adding a total of 48 lines of self propelled modular transporter (SPMT) to its equipment fleet.
The deal is for eight modules of German manufacturer Goldhofer’s PST-ES-E (315), each with 6-axle lines.
Denzai will use the new equipment for offshore wind energy generation construction projects. Delivery is scheduled for January or February 2026.
Denzai and Goldhofer signed the deal during a ceremony at the Bauma trade show in early April. Attendees included Kohki Uemura, Denzai president and CEO, and Jean-Philippe Martin, Goldhofer director of sales international business transport technology.
Premium pair
Commenting on the deal Matthias Ruppel, Goldhofer CEO, said, “Goldhofer is honoured that Denzai KK has once again placed its trust in our products. The ceremonial handover of the vehicles at Bauma highlights our long-standing and successful partnership. Both Goldhofer and Denzai are well known for premium quality and reliability. With the delivered Goldhofer products, we are confident that Denzai is well-equipped for future challenges.”
The PST/ES-E Type has a basic width of 2,430 mm. The 315 version uses 315/60 R 22.5 tyres for a maximum axle load of 45 tonnes. Versions are available with an individual axle load capacity of 60 tonnes. Suspension travel for axle compensation is 700 mm and the maximum steering angle is 135 degrees.
In addition to the 48 axle lines of SPMT, Denzai ordered the big (390 kW) PP530 power pack with Deutz engine, a 110 tonne RA3 tower adaptor and three 70 metre hydraulic telescopic spacers.
