Atlas Crane Service names vice president of sales

Jack Weisz

Illinois, USA-based Atlas Crane Service has named Jack Weisz as its new vice president of sales, marking a strategic move to strengthen the company’s presence in both the renewable energy and traditional crane markets.

Weisz joins Atlas from GE Vernova, where he held a range of sales leadership positions across North and South America since 2013. Most recently, he served as managing director for new unit sales in the Onshore Wind North American West Region, with previous roles in Mexico, Chile and Argentina spanning GE’s RePower, Long-Term Service Agreement, and New Unit Sales divisions.

Atlas CEO Charles Kent said Weisz is a strong addition to the company’s executive team. “I’ve had the privilege of getting to know Jack over the past two years, and I’m confident he will help Atlas achieve continued success while quickly integrating into our collaborative family culture,” said Kent.

Weisz will oversee Atlas’ national project management team, along with its engineering and estimating functions, supporting the company’s ongoing growth strategy.

Founded in 2009 by union crane operator Zach Prentis, Atlas has expanded its fleet and geographic reach despite recent economic challenges. The company has built a reputation as a trusted provider of crane, rigging, and heavy-haul services across the U.S.

“I’m looking forward to building on what is already industry-leading performance at Atlas,” Weisz said.

Weisz holds a Bachelor of Commerce (with Honours) from Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada, and is fluent in Spanish and English.
