Terex appoints RT crane distributor for Saudi Arabia

Crane manufacturer Terex Rough Terrain Cranes has appointed Zahid Tractor & Heavy Machinery Co. Ltd as its official distributor for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In addition to offering the full range of Terex rough terrain cranes, Zahid Tractor will also provide spare parts, service and technical support.

A ceremony to mark the agreement was held at the Zahid head office in Jeddah.

Important market

Commenting on the move Ajit Nair, Terex Rough Terrain Cranes head of sales for the Middle East and Asia, said, “Saudi Arabia is a very important market for us… It was important to have a distributor in Saudi Arabia that has outstanding credibility in customer care. We have found that with Zahid and are delighted to welcome them to the growing network of Terex Rough Terrain Cranes distributors.”

For Zahid Tractor Faraj Tarhini, managing director, construction machinery division, said, “At Zahid Tractor, commerce has been deep-rooted in our culture for over a century, enabling us to play a pivotal role in the development of the Kingdom’s infrastructure. Zahid Tractor was started more than 50 years ago, in 1967. It is now a group of three primary business units – Construction Machinery, Commercial Vehicles and Rental. Industrial and mining sectors are served, in addition to construction and infrastructure.
