French construction company Brézillon is using four Potain tower cranes on an extension to a leather goods factory owned by French luxury fashion brand Chanel in Verneuil-en-Halatte, northern France.

The tower cranes comprise MD 285, MD 345 and two MDT 308s which have all been fitted with DCS 61-S anti-collision systems from French job site safety specialist AMCS Technologies.

The DCS 61-S is designed to maintain safe distances between the cranes, automatically stopping them if they get too close to each other.

AMCS has also installed anemometer sensors on the cranes which are connected to the anti-collision systems and display the wind speed in real time on the DCS 61-S’s screen in the operator’s cab. AMCS also installed its SUP 61 supervisor system in order to monitor the cranes’ on-site activity in real time.

The project started in July 2019 and is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2020.
