For the last two years the Sheraton Atlanta Hotel, in the heart of downtown Atlanta just one block from Peachtree Center, has captured Association Meetings magazine's prestigious Inner Circle Award. The 760-room property was the only hotel in Atlanta and one of only two Sheratons worldwide to receive the distinction, as determined by votes from the magazine's readers.

Among the many reasons cited for the award was the hotel's recent addition of a $10 million conference center with 33,000 square feet of meeting space, which includes a 15,000 square-foot ballroom. The addition of the Conference Center followed $40 million in enhancements at the hotel over the last ? ve years. Other improvements included remodeling the hotel's 760 guest rooms and suites and a renovation of the lobby, two restaurants and bar.
