From 5 to 7 October Chinese manufacturer XCMG will show mobile cranes especially for the European market at the GIS exhibition in Piacenza, Italy.

The XCA130E is a 130 tonne capacity all terrain crane on five axles. It has a 62 metre boom with single cylinder pinning. Maximum boom length with extensions is 94.5 metres. Launched in 2021 it has CE and Whole Vehicle Type Approval (WVTA) certification for sale EU-wide. Units have been delivered to several countries in Europe, including Bulgaria and Spain.

XCMG is ramping up its export drive. Overseas revenue of US$2.85 billion in the first half of 2023 was just over 40 per cent of the group’s total sales. This was from sales of all the machinery types it makes, not just cranes. It was up 11 % on the previous year. Sales from Europe were up 150 % and crane sales by 100 %, the company said.
