Auction tool for faster and cheaper crane rental
07 July 2025

Global online crane rental platform MyCrane has launched an auction tool function to speed up and further improve the rental process of procuring lifting equipment and services.
It is designed to improve transparency, accelerate rentals and deliver greater value for both customers and suppliers, MyCrane said. Andrei Geikalo, company founder and CEO, said the new auction tool “is ideal when speed, complexity or cost control are key factors.”
When customers are looking for crane and lifting services, different types of auction can be specified where rental companies and other service providers bid for the work. It happens in real time, MyCrane said, helping customers achieve cost savings, of as much as 20 per cent, and reduces procurement time by up to 60 %.
Simplify and modernise
“From day one, MyCrane has sought to simplify and modernise the crane rental process,” Geikalo continued, “With the introduction of our auction module, we’re taking another big step forward – offering customers complete visibility of supplier pricing in real time, while helping our partners compete on a level playing field.”
Customer benefits include more control over timing and side-by-side offer comparison.
This auction module will be extended to also include transport services for particular jobs.
In summary Geikalo said, “MyCrane Auction removes uncertainty from the process. For suppliers, it provides a transparent and efficient way to win more jobs, reduce time spent on negotiations, and gain access to high-value opportunities – all while ensuring they are competing fairly on the merits of their service, availability, and pricing. Soon, they’ll also be able to use the tool to arrange transport more efficiently.”
