BKL Baukran Logistik in Germany has a new large self erecting tower crane available for rent or purchase.

It is the new BKL System Cattaneo CM 430 with a radius of 43 metres and a hook height of 32.5 metres. The hydraulic self erecting crane is from the Italian manufacturer represented by BKL in Germany.

BKL shows it for the first time at September’s Nordbau trade show in Neumünster, Germany.

The CM 430 has a 61 tonne-metre rating and is the new range-topping model in the BKL System Cattaneo range. It lifts 4 tonnes and is aimed at large residential and commercial project applications.

Range-topping

Its 43 metre radius is one of the biggest in the market and its hook height can be set at 26.5 or 32.5 metres. BKL said it can compete with lattice boom cranes in the 61 tonne-metre class and is easier to assemble and quicker to deploy thanks to its folding system.

A 2.5 metre slewing radius allows operation on small sites and where space is limited. Its MicroMove function on the hoist and precise slewing helps with load positioning. Height-adjustable spindles make assembly easier and it has the Industry 4.0 package for “digitised” construction sites.

Transport is flexible, either via a fifth wheel coupling on a tractor unit or a drawbar.
