CM Labs grows portfolio with GlobalSim

CM Labs Simulations has acquired GlobalSim, a Utah, USA-based developer of advanced training simulators, strengthening its position in simulation-based training for heavy equipment and port operations. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Simulation-based crane operator training reflects the advanced workforce development solutions CM Labs aims to expand following its purchase of GlobalSim.

The acquisition brings together two long-established simulation providers with complementary strengths in technology, engineering and market expertise. CM Labs said the addition of GlobalSim expands its product offering and enhances its ability to deliver next-generation training systems designed to improve workforce readiness, safety and operational efficiency while reducing training costs.

As part of the deal, CM Labs will broaden its U.S. footprint through GlobalSim’s Salt Lake City facility, adding manufacturing capacity and reinforcing local support for customers across North America. The expanded presence is expected to support growing demand for advanced simulation tools in port, heavy equipment and industrial training environments.

CM Labs said integrating GlobalSim’s industry knowledge with its own simulation technology will allow the combined organization to deliver more comprehensive training solutions tailored to real-world operating conditions.

“This is a natural evolution for two organizations that have decades of proven safety, precision and performance outcomes in port operations,” said Robert Weldon, CEO of CM Labs. “CM Labs and GlobalSim are uniting to deliver unmatched quality, value and support to our port customers worldwide.”
