Crewtek, an 8-week accelerator program designed to prepare students for entry level load handling positions, is now enrolling students in Washington State. Classes for the Crane & Rigging Trainee program begin November 6.

Crewtek will match students with prospective employers seeking to fill their labor pipeline.

“Crewtek aims to prepare our students to enter the workforce with confidence and to match our employment partners with qualified and motivated individuals ready to begin a long and successful career in the skilled trades,” said James Grover, executive director, Crewtek. “Our graduates will be prepared for entry-level employment in construction, machinery moving, manufacturing, heavy industry and logistics,” he said.

Crewtek will match students with prospective employers seeking to fill their labor pipeline. Industrial Training International, Barnhart Crane & Rigging, The ProLift Rigging Company and other contractors, manufacturers and crane rental companies are among Crewtek’s Career Partners. Up to 12 students are assigned to each cohort, with new classes starting each month at the Woodland, WA location.

Grover said a campus in Houston, TX is expected to open in early 2024, while plans for national expansion are also in the works. The Houston campus will be able to accommodate two simultaneous cohorts of 12 students each, with new classes starting each month. Future locations will be determined by labor demand and Career Partner interest.
