Enter the SC&RA Jobs of the Year contest
23 January 2012
SC&RA is now accepting applications for the Hauling and Rigging Job of the Year Competitions. In years past there have been as many as 14 companies competing in one of three categories and the presentations during the Annual Conference have become one of the highlights for attendees. Common questions and answers are below:
- Is my job worthy of a Job of the Year entry?
Did you complete a job in 2011 that used old equipment in a new way demonstrating your company's ingenuity? Or did you overcome numerous challenges with regard to deadlines, regulatory restrictions or other constraints? These are the jobs that could win your company a trophy. Please review the application for complete details and eligibility requirements. If you have any specific questions please feel free to contact the Association at (703) 698-0291. - Do I need to have a video presentation made?
No. You may chose to use video but many previous winners did not use video and are able to relay the necessary information and scope of project through PowerPoint slides and/or animation. - What kind of publicity do the winners and presenters receive?
The winners major free exposure - all the entrants are included in an article in SC&RA's official publication American Cranes & Transport and other industry publications run articles as well. Additionally, winners' and presenters' photographs (if provided) are used for promotional purposes. SC&RA will also produce 2-3 minute clips for the SC&RA website. Don't underestimate the use of your presentation as a promotional vehicle for your company!
