Fassi acquires bridge inspection specialist Barin

Italy-based articulating loader crane manufacturer Fassi has acquired truck mounted bridge inspection platform specialist Barin.

Founded in 1963 in Cittadella, Italy, Barin has established itself as a provider of bespoke, high-tech inspection and maintenance aerial platforms. Now in its second generation, the company is led by Pierpaolo Barin, who will remain with the company as CEO, and employs over 50 staff, all of whom will join the Fassi Group.

The acquisition of Barin follows Fassi group’s integration of Fascan International and its acquisition of Tecnove. Now with the addition of Barin, Fassi, an indirect subsidiary of the Investindustrial Fund, aims to strengthen its position in the sector by continuing to invest in Italian companies.
