A scale model of a Mammoet 1,600 metric ton capacity PTC ring crane was recently shown at the International Toy Fair in Nurnberg, Germany.

Standing approximately 6.2 feet (1.92 meters) high, the 1:50 scale model weighs 57 pounds (26 kilograms) and was described as “the biggest scale model in the world that has been produced in series,” by Mammoet Holding, which developed the model with WSI Models.

The international heavy lift and transport specialist, based in the Netherlands, has four PTCs in its fleet. The crane is mainly used for lifting work at petrochemical and power plants, and is designed to be easily transported in containers, explained Mammoet.
