IMT debuts new telescopic cranes at Work Truck Week 2025
10 March 2025

Iowa Mold Tooling Co. (IMT), a subsidiary of Oshkosh Corporation, has introduced two new telescopic cranes at Work Truck Week 2025 in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. The IMT 3300e-18 and 8600-32 models, part of the company’s refreshed crane lineup set for production in 2026, were unveiled on a Dominator I mechanics truck.
“Work Truck Week is the perfect platform to debut our latest crane innovations,” said Amy Brownlee, vice president and general Manager of IMT. “These cranes provide exceptional reach, lifting capacity and reliability while maintaining the durability IMT is known for. We’ve incorporated customer feedback to enhance maintenance ease, component commonality and overall performance.”
The new IMT crane lineup consists of 16 models with lifting capacities ranging from 1,497 kilograms (3,300 pounds) to 5,715 kilograms (12,600 pounds) and boom lengths spanning from 5.5 metres (18 feet) to 9.8 metres (32 feet). Engineered for optimized weight and operational efficiency, these cranes enhance productivity on demanding job sites.

Key features of the new IMT cranes include enhanced lifting performance using Penta Boom geometry, which maximizes lifting capabilities across working zones. Constructed with high-strength steel, the cranes achieve a reduced overall weight without sacrificing structural integrity. Their design streamlines maintenance through common elements like the valve bank, boom geometry and radio remotes, simplifying serviceability and minimizing parts inventory.
Fully hydraulic extensions provide smooth and intuitive operation, while extended boom lengths improve access to challenging work areas. Optimized weight distribution enhances efficiency and payload capacity. Additionally, the cranes undergo rigorous testing, including cold weather, durability, fatigue, and stability assessments, and are validated through J-1063 certification to ensure reliable performance in extreme conditions.*
(*Weight reductions apply to new models compared to previous IMT telescopic crane designs, except for the 3300e-18.)
