12 June 2025

Italian crane manufacturer Jekko has appointed KoWu as its dealer for South Korea, as part of drive to expand its presence across Asia.
The new dealer will offer sales service and a technical consultancy for the full range of Jekko mini spider cranes, crawler cranes and truck mounted cranes.
Headquartered in Goyang-si, a city in the North of South Korea near Seoul, KoWu is a subsidiary of Kilwoo Corporation. Kilwoo is well known in the South Korean market as a supplier of construction, lifting and measuring equipment. It was started in 1980 and already handles cranes from manufacturers Sennebogen from Germany, Link-Belt from the USA, HSC from Japan and Konecranes from Finland.
As part of the sales and service offer KoWu will have a warehouse of cranes on stock, plus a spare parts holding for quick delivery.

Asian expansion
For Jekko it is the latest step in the company’s drive to increase its presence in Asia. Commenting on the move Marco Piccin, Jekko sales manager, said, “We see a strong market potential in South Korea, especially in areas tied to urban redevelopment, smart cities, infrastructure, and green building technologies. Jekko Cranes perfectly fit with these needs, with the widest range of battery-operated mini cranes ideal for indoor operation and compact units for tight urban jobsites. KoWu Corporation has the right market knowledge to help the Jekko brand to deeply penetrate the market.”
For his part Jinhaeng Choi, KoWu sales director, commented, “Visiting the Jekko facility we got confirmation that they directly handle R&D as well as the overall manufacturing. As an industry-leading company, Jekko shares a strong philosophy regarding the market and customers, which resonated with us. This gave us the confidence that Jekko would be a great business partner and, ultimately, led us to decide to move forward with the collaboration.”
