Laso works away on French wind job

European transport specialist Laso is continuing to expand its operations outside its home country of Portugal.

Its latest foreign venture is to transport components for two wind farm projects in France. Laso said the job reinforces its presence in the wind transport sector and its logistics management capability on a European scale.

A job to do

The work was transporting wind components and blades for the Bois de l’Aiguille and Vallée de la Joie wind farms.

Work started in April at Bois de l’Aiguille. By mid-June Laso had transported more than 40 loads, involving more than forty employees.

At the Vallée de la Joie site, where Laso engaged more than 30 of its employees, transport work started in May and was due to be finished by the end of June.

Challenges on both projects demand extensive and careful planning and route surveys.
