The company is replacing a 110 tonne lifting capacity mobile crane with the new 180 tonne capacity crane.

It will mainly be used for the assembly of precast concrete elements.

The LTM 1160-5.2 has a 62 metre telescopic boom and can reach lifting heights of up to 99 metres with lattice extensions. The 5-axle vehicle is designed for a maximum load capacity of 180 tonnes.

Managing director Dorothea Berres said, “We attach real importance to state-of-the-art technical equipment, expertise and adherence to deadlines. That’s why we decided to invest in a new crane. This is a crane with innovative technology such as the VarioBallast adjustable ballast radius.”

Closing the gap

Berres’ fleet consists of cranes with lifting capacities of up to 220 tonnes.

“With the LTM 1160-5.2, we are closing a gap in our crane portfolio. It fits perfectly into our range,” added Berres.
