Louisiana heavy-haul firm opens new office

Louisiana, USA-based specialized transport and heavy-haul operator Gulf of America Logistics has opened a new Baton Rouge office and appointed Jake Minner as vice president of operations for specialized transport and trucking.

Minner brings 17 years of heavy-haul experience in Louisiana’s energy and petrochemical corridor and will lead the company’s asset-based heavy-haul division from the new location.

The expansion gives the compnay four offices statewide, with each serving a distinct industrial zone: corporate headquarters in Bossier City, thew new heavy-haul and specialized operations in Baton Rouge, Gulf Coast and offshore logistics from Lafayette and northeast Louisiana industrial services out of Rayville.

The company also secured exclusive asset-based trucking agreements along the Gulf Coast, a move it says gives clients direct equipment control rather than brokered capacity.
