French lifting and industrial transfer group Mediaco acquired Paul Halbwachs, a crane and handling specialist based in Monswiller, located in the Alsace region of northeastern France.

Paul Halbwachs has operated in the lifting, handling and industrial transfer sector for nearly 40 years. Its fleet includes mobile cranes ranging from 30 to 300 tonnes capacity, knuckle boom trucks, mini cranes from 4.5 to 25 tonnes and forklifts from 2.5 to 16 tonnes.
Mediaco said the acquisition strengthens its existing presence in the Grand Est region and expands its operational capacity there. The company frames the deal as part of a broader territorial consolidation strategy aimed at improving coverage and service levels for customers across France.
Marseille-headquartered Mediaco is France’s largest lifting and handling group, operating 95 branches nationally and internationally.
