Palfinger up nearly 4% in first three quarters
28 October 2026
Despite what Palfinger described as a challenging market environment, the Austrian crane and aerial work platform manufacturer posted a 3.9 per cent increase in revenue for the first three quarters of 2026.
Total revenue was €1,616.7 million, up from €1,533.6 million for the same period in 2025. EBIT was €120.7 million.
Challenges cited included the market downturn in Germany, ivestment hesitancy in the USA, geopolitical uncertainty and the impairment of Russian assets. Taking that last item into account, plus the planned sale of its Tail & Passenger Lift business, gave a consolidated net result of €-61.5 million.
Bright spots
On the positive side demand “remained solid” in northern European markets other than Germany. “Business in Latin America developed solidly despite weaker market conditions across the entire region. Positive signals came from the mining sector in particular,” the company said.
Commenting on the results Andreas Klauser, Palfinger CEO, said, “We cannot influence geopolitical and economic conditions, but we can certainly influence our decisions. That is why in Q3 we have adjusted our portfolio, expanded our efficiency programme, and consistently brought our organisation closer to the markets. We are strengthening the resilience of Palfinger as a result.”
In outlook the company said it is paving the way for “a more resilient business model”. It adjusted its revenue target to €2.8 billion for 2030.
