Prangl expands with Tadano crawler cranes
25 January 2021
Vienna, Austria-based crane service provider Prangl is to expand its fleet with two GTC 1800EX telescopic boom crawler cranes made by Japanese crane manufacturer Tadano.
Christian Prangl, general manager at Prangl, commented, “The Tadano GTC-1800EX is a state-of-the-art machine that is extremely versatile and comes with a whole series of incredibly compelling technical features.”
It has a lifting capacity of 156 tonnes and a maximum load moment of 590 metre-tonnes. It has a track width that can be adjusted as necessary in both symmetrical and asymmetrical configurations so that it can be used for applications in which space is at a premium and adapt to all kinds of terrain.
Prangl also intends to use the cranes for wind work. “Wind turbine towers keep getting heavier and heavier, which of course requires more lifting capacity. The GTC-1800EX provides this capacity with up to 156 tonnes,” Christian Prangl explains.
Tadano added that the new telescopic boom crawler crane will also make it possible for the company to set up its lattice boom crawler cranes much faster.
The cranes are expected to be delivered in April 2021.
