The Generation Five version of HookCam offers an adaptable mounting system

Safety equipment manufacturer Pacific Systems Solutions (PSS) has launched the Generation Five model of the HookCam, a camera system that attaches directly to the hook block of a crane and wirelessly transmits a video stream to the operator in the cabin.

HookCam gives operators a live view from their hook’s perspective, eliminating blind spots and allowing crane operators and riggers to work more safely and efficiently. The HookCam also allows the operator to see the pace and swing of the load, and gives the operation more awareness of the situation and potential accidents.

New features for Generation Five include an adaptable mounting system, sleeker design, more efficient battery, solar charging and options for black box recording.

“The new design is portable and lighter weight, has a lower profile and features an easy to read display. The new mounting system allows for quick and easy installation and is adaptable for a variety of cranes,” explained David Catanzaro, Pacific Systems Solutions CEO.
