Tower crane specialist Raimondi Middle East appointed Ahmad Shakkour as branch manager for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

More than 100 Raimondi cranes are erected in Saudi Arabia. Large numbers of cranes needed for infrastructure and urban development construction projects. More people are needed for customer support and to strengthen onsite relationships with the growing team.

“Saudi Arabia represents a cornerstone of our regional operations,” said Wael Hasan, Raimondi Middle East general manager. “The appointment of Ahmad Shakkour reflects our focus on being closer to our clients and partners, ensuring faster response times, and delivering the highest level of service and technical expertise directly on-ground.”

Riyadh-based Shakkour has more than 20 years of experience in the tower crane industry, including technical and managerial expertise. His focus will be to strengthen Raimondi’s footprint in Saudi Arabia.

“Priorities include developing a fully operational local branch, enhancing the after-sales service, and forging long-term partnerships with local contractors and developers,” the company said.

“Shakkour’s set of leadership skills, market knowledge, and well-established network in the region will contribute toward achieving Raimondi Group long-term strategy. With his appointment, we reaffirm our commitment to growth proximity and partnership in one of its most strategic markets,” Hasan said.

Italy-headquartered Raimondi manufactures flat top and luffing jib tower cranes. In September it announced its acquisition of the Terex tower cranes and rough terrain crane divisions. See our story on Raimondi’s plans for expansion.
