Sany crawler crane completes first lift in Jakarta

Following the first export of its largest crawler crane to Indonesia, the Sany SCC12500A completed its debut lift in Jakarta.

Working in conjunction with an SCC5000A and SCC4000A, the three cranes executed a co-ordinated lift to position a 500 tonne drilling platform base.

According to the report, operators and site construction teams praised the stability, responsiveness and precision of the machines, all built in China.

The SCC12500A has a 1,250 tonne lifting capacity. The modular design supports faster assembly; in this case, the crane was assembled in seven days and passed inspection on the first time.

Features such as wireless remote control, automatic load moment indicator, boom limit devices and closed-circuit monitoring help achieve safe operation in complex lifting scenarios.

Speaking about the operation, the customer company’s project manager said, “This is our first time using the SCC12500A, and it exceeded all expectations. From transportation to onsite assembly, everything progressed smoothly and quickly.

“With Sany’s comprehensive support, the crane was ready for operation in a short time. This project involves many variables and is quite complex but, thanks to the close collaboration of the engineering team and the outstanding performance of the SCC12500A, we were able to push the project forward effectively.”
