Scott Powerline in the US has taken delivery of a new Mantis 20010 and immediately dispatched it to Louisiana for hurricane relief efforts in Plaquemines.

The largest model in the Mantis range, the 20010 telescopic boom crawler has a 100 US ton (91 tonne) capacity and a maximum tip height of 196 feet (60 m). Its heavy-duty telescopic boom, hydraulically extendable crawlers and compact dimensions give flexibility in getting closer to a job and under overhead obstructions, according to Mantis.

The 20010 has a 128 foot (39 m), four-section boom with a maximum tip height of 137 feet (42 m) and a 35 foot (10.7 m) swing-away lattice extension and 25 foot (7.6 m) jib. The maximum tip height with jib and extension is 196 feet. Other features include the following: a load-sensing 4,900 psi (338 bar) hydraulic package; dual-swing drives and a full-view cab that can be tilted up to 20 degrees; rear and winch view cameras; and an electronic control module.
