The Utility Expo hits record visitors

This year’s Utility Expo, just held in Louisville, USA, saw a record attendance of more than 21,000 professionals from all 50 US states and 60 countries internationally.

That compares to 16,500 attendees for the last show in 2021, when it was impacted by the pandemic, and the previous record of 19,000 for the 2019 event (at that time called ICUEE).

“From every perspective, this year’s Utility Expo surpassed all expectations, offering an abundance of sights and experiences for attendees,” said John Rozum, the Utility Expo show director.

“Our goal is to bring utility pros together with exhibitors and equipment manufacturers to advance the utility industry and showcase how the equipment, products and technologies help keep our communities working and thriving.”

The Expo, which is organised by the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), is the largest trade show in Kentucky and third largest in North America, with more than 900 exhibitors covering1.5 million net square feet of exhibition space.

Jim Glazer, the Utility Expo show chair and president of Elliott Equipment, said; “By all measures, this was an outstanding Utility Expo with more to see and experience than ever before.

The Utility Expo is always a tremendous opportunity to make lasting industry connections and take advantage of education that helps participants continue to grow and stay competitive.”

AEM’s Rozum added; “The record-breaking attendance, exhibitor engagement, exceptional educational content, and groundbreaking innovation all reflect the incredible dedication and passion within the utility industry. We’re grateful for the support and participation of all involved.”

The Utility Expo will return to Louisville and the Kentucky Exposition Center on 7 to 9 October, 2025.
