TC3 was established in 2015 to modernise the Port of Casablanca, and is Marsa Maroc’s first terminal with Kalmar RTGs. The three new RTGs will join eleven others delivered to Marsa Maroc in 2016 and 2018. The fleet also includes Kalmar terminal tractors, straddle carriers and empty container handlers.

The order, which includes an option for an additional two cranes, was booked in Cargotec’s Q3 2020 order intake. Delivery is scheduled for Q2 2021.

Tawfik Chahir, terminal operations director at Marsa Maro, commented, “We have relied on Kalmar equipment and services since the 1990s and we have built an excellent working relationship with the Kalmar team during our collaboration. We are pleased to continue this relationship and look forward to developing our operations at TC3 with Kalmar’s support.”
