Engineered Giving awards first industry scholarship

Jaden Rozum

Engineered Giving, established in June as the charitable arm of Engineered Rigging, has named University of Michigan student Jaden Rozum as the first recipient of its annual $3,000 scholarship, created to support young people pursuing careers in the heavy lifting and transport industry.

Rozum, an economics major set to graduate in 2026, represents a family deeply rooted in the industry. His grandparents, father and aunt built MSA Delivery Service in Canton, Michigan, USA, from a small operation into a fleet of 50 trucks, 150 trailers and 60 employees specializing in curtainside transport of over-dimensional and heavy loads.

In addition to his academic achievements as an honors and Dean’s List student, Rozum has shown leadership and community engagement. He founded and now serves as president of the Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization, and has volunteered as a camp counselor at Camp Invention, a STEM program for elementary school students.

“At Engineered Rigging, we recognize that people are the heart of our business,” said Christopher Cox, PE, president and founder of Engineered Rigging. “This scholarship will help to develop the next generation of leadership in the heavy lifting and rigging industry. We are thrilled to recognize the hard work and achievements of Jaden Rozum and look forward to seeing his future contributions to our industry.”

Engineered Giving, established in June as the charitable arm of Engineered Rigging, aims to extend the company’s community outreach. Earlier this year, it awarded its first grant to the Arkansas River Valley Food 4 Kids program, which provides summer meals to 1,200 children.
