More than 200 delegates attended the specialist industry event at the Jafza One Convention Centre, next to the Jebel Ali Free Zone.

CATME 2024 opened with a keynote address from Rishi Sanghvi, managing director at Sanghvi Movers in India. He gave his take on how to succeed in the crane rental business, benefiting from his and his late father’s experience building what is one of the world’s largest crane rental companies.

Other speakers include the CEO at Turkey-based Hareket, Abdullah Altunkum, who discussed his experience of the globalisation of the lifting and specialized transport market and what it means for businesses.

Both Sanghvi and Hareket have recently completed successful flotations, facilitating growth and expansion into other markets and countries.

Two panel discussions, one on big data and digital technology and the other looking at the regional demand for cranes and transport equipment in the context of major Saudi Arabian investment in projects such as NEOM. Both discussions produced some lively debate and strong participation from the panel members and the audience.

Videos and some of the presentations will be made available on craneandtransportbriefing.com
