Franna strengthens US presence

Australian crane manufacturer Franna has strengthened its North American presence with expanded parts and service support from the new Terex Louisville parts facility and the appointment of Kevin Aabel as business development manager for the region.

Following the launch of its AT24 US model in 2023 and the FR19 US earlier this year, Franna recently introduced the AT44 US to the market. Each model is based on the company’s pick and carry crane technology and customized for North American jobsites, offering strong lifting capacity and flexible operation.

To support continued growth, Franna now benefits from the Terex Louisville Parts facility, a 134,000 square-foot (12,450 m²) warehouse designed to improve availability and reduce delivery times. The site features automated picking technology and a second shift operation to ensure faster service across North America. In addition to warehousing, it is home to a dedicated service team trained specifically in Franna equipment.

Franna service and parts support is based at the new 134,000-square-foot Terex Louisville facility.

Franna has also named industry veteran Kevin Aabel to lead business development efforts across the region. Aabel brings experience from Manitowoc, Oshkosh and Altec, with expertise in truck-mounted, rough terrain, crawler and all-terrain cranes. He will focus on introducing Franna’s pick and carry concept to new customers and demonstrating the machines directly to prospective buyers.

“Franna is firmly committed to its growth strategy in North America and has a proven product backed by decades of engineering expertise, patented technology, a strong track record in the Australian market,” said Kevin Aabel. “It is an exciting time to join the team. I hope to leverage my industry network and specialist expertise, supported by the capabilities of the Terex Louisville facility, to make an immediate and meaningful impact in driving the success of Franna in this key market.”
