First batch of pipelayers  for Iraq

Freight forwarder Fleet Line Shipping Services, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, won a contract to move oil and gas industry equipment to Iraq.

The work involves moving about 11,000 freight tonnes of oil and gas equipment and pipe from UAE to Iraq, by land and sea. Pictured is the first batch of pipelayers, each weighing 45 tonnes. They were loaded onto a roll-on, roll-off vessel and shipped from Jebel Ali in Dubai to Umm Qasir port in Iraq. Customs were cleared there and the loads were delivered to the project site by road 450 km away.
