The latest version of a software tool designed to aid lifting work has been released. Desktop-Crane Version 3.3 helps crane users select the appropriate crane model and design lifting operations, even under the most extreme environmental conditions, according to the company.

In the new version a selected crane load chart can be directly exported to Microsoft Excel software using four methods. For example, main boom data can be transferred with duties according to counterweight, boom combination, derrick or suspended counterweight, and whether the crane will be on outriggers or free on wheels.

Other updates include the ability to present a lift plan in both feet and pounds and a preview feature, which allows the user to modify the crane's actions without loading it.

There is also a print feature for reports, a choice of skins, and an enhanced view mode, among other attributes.
