With regret we report the death of Edward Seager, Bennetts Cranes managing director in the UK.

Seager died on Sunday 29 June after a short illness.

He bought Bennetts Cranes in 2008, with a plan to move the tower crane rental business forward and help bring the crane rental industry into the 21st Century. Having duly expanded it, in 2018 the company was listed in the Financial Times list of Europe’s top 1000 fastest growing companies.

In a ddition to a large fleet of tower cranes for rent, Bennetts is the UK dealer for Raimondi tower cranes.

For the last year Seager took a step back from the day-to-day running of the business. His passion and dedication to the construction industry as a whole, and in particular the business he built over the last 16 years, always remained, the company said.

We offer our condolences to Edward Seager’s family, friends and colleagues. For details of the funeral arrangements the company has asked to be contacted directly.
