Sotrama has taken delivery of the first Tadano AC 5.250L-2 all terrain crane sold in France, expanding its lifting capabilities and reinforcing a decades-long partnership with Tadano. The new 250-tonne crane is already at work on projects across the Brittany region.

With more than 70 years of experience across construction, shipbuilding, industrial relocation and heavy transport, Sotrama is known for investing in advanced equipment that meets a wide range of customer needs. The AC 5.250L-2 fits squarely into that approach. Its 79-metre main boom and maximum system length of 109 metres provide the reach needed for challenging lifts such as installing HVAC units on high-rise buildings or assembling tower cranes. The crane also benefits from Tadano’s IC-1 Plus control system and optional Surround View camera technology, which streamline setup and enhance safety on complex job sites.
Sotrama General Manager Peggy Guenault said the new model is already proving its worth. “We have just received our new crane, equipped with the necessary extensions to extend the boom to 91 metres, and it is already in operation,” she said. “Such a reach on a 250-tonne crane is simply remarkable.” The AC 5.250L-2’s road travel versatility is another advantage, with configurations that meet both 12-tonne and 16.5-tonne axle load limits, enabling fast, permit-free transport between job sites.
