Hiab shows new lifting technologies

Load handling solutions specialist Hiab is previewed a series of new logistics tech solutions.

These include the Multilift Talon, billed as a fully automated hooklift. Featuring ‘100% in-cabin operation’, the system allows a single operator to load or unload ISO containers and flatracks from the safety of the truck cabin.

There is also the Hiab 1622 ATF-3. An evolution of the combat-proven Hiab 2222 ATF loader crane, the 1622 ATF-3 combines heavy lifting capability with a low profile and long outreach.

Engineered to be mobile-ready, the crane features a foldable column that makes it suitable for operating from rail or air transport, together with truck cabs.

With an outreach of 8.3 metres, the unit has a 1,660 kg lift capacity. Stability control and crane tip control allows operators to handle cargo with accuracy and safety.

Lastly, there is the Hiab JMIC top handler. Military logistics are based around the 20-foot ISO container and Stanag Flatracks. By loading these with joint modular intermodal containers (JMIC), the logistics flow can be optimised.

To complete this, Hiab has introduced the JMIC top loader. The equipment can complete quick and safe container handling when used in tandem with a loader crane. It is offered in two versions, manual or hydraulic.
