New COO for WireCo

Wire and synthetic rope manufacturer WireCo has appointed Luis Padilla as chief operating officer.

Padilla will lead the WireCo business in North America, with responsibility for advancing operational performance in manufacturing and execution.

He will also play a key role in customer service, building consistency across the customer base to improve related growth.

Broad experience

Padilla has about 30 years of experience in the rope industry. Most recently he was president and CEO of Knowix. There, he led development of an industrial IoT platform focused on predictive analytics and digital monitoring technologies for rope applications.

He has also served multiple terms as president of the Cordage Institute and holds several US patents related to advanced rope technologies.

“Luis brings a rare combination of deep industry knowledge, technical expertise and proven executive leadership,” said WireCo CEO Keith White. “His experience leading complex, multi-site businesses and driving meaningful operational improvement will be highly valuable as we continue strengthening our North American organisation.”

Padilla will report to Keith White.
