Specialized trailer manufacturer Nooteboom has launched a two axle variant of its Euro-PX3 extendable low loader trailer.

The third generation PX3 series of this trailer range with pendular axles and hydraulic steering was first announced in April 2025. This new two axle version was announced on 18 November at the Solutrans trade show in France.

Designated Euro-47-02(P3), the new two axle version runs on 245/70 R-17.5 tyres for a load capacity of 12 tonnes per axle line. Total load capacity is 33 tonnes at 80 km/h.

Within limits

When the 2.55 metre wide trailer is retracted to its shortest length of 12 metres it is within legal dimensions so no special permit is needed to operate it. Fully extended, it can carry a 40 foot container.

Nooteboom lists a raft of features and improvements on the PX3. It offers increased payload, a wider excavator trough and more load space. Its big steering angle and optimised design maximises manoeuvrability and control, while at the same time minimising tyre wear. Maintenance costs are also reduced, the company said.

The unit on show at Solutrans was destined for Dutch transport company Moovl Transport.

Nooteboom said it will further add to its range of options in the Euro-PX series, including Jeepdolly and Interdolly combinations for extra load capacity.
