Engineered Rigging adds robotic dollies for heavy indoor lifts

Heavy lifting, specialized moving and equipment rental company Engineered Rigging in the USA expanded its partnership with Canadian OEM Foxtrot Industriel to offer five models of the manufacturer’s robotic dolly line.

The battery-powered, remote-controlled skates are purpose-built for heavy indoor moves in spaces where cranes and forklifts cannot operate.

Engineered Rigging first introduced Foxtrot’s SOLO 20 to its fleet last December and now carries the full range, with capacities spanning about 9 to 54 tonnes across five models.

In detail

The five models run on lithium batteries charged at 100 volts. The Solo 10 weighs 45 kilogrammes, carries up to 9 tonnes, and runs four hours per charge. The Solo 20 runs six hours, charges in three and can have its battery swapped under load. The Solo 60 tops the range around 54 tonnes with an integrated brake and four-per cent slope capability.

The Tango unit adds vertical movement, lifting up to 10 tonnes and moving laterally up to 18 tonnes on a four-hour battery, and is designed as an alternative to heavy-load automated guided vehicles.
