UK-headquartered Unic Cranes Europe has launched two updated mini spider cranes which feature a new telescoping luffing jib and searcher hook.

These new models build on the features of the existing URW-546-2 and URW-295-2 cranes but feature four new attachments.

The new telescoping luffing jib / searcher hook of the URW-546-2, offers a maximum capacity of 850 kg and a jib extension range of 2.4 to 5.6 metres.

It features a luffing range of -10° to 60° offsets and a max lifting height of the crane to 22.8 metres, with a maximum working radius of 17 metres.

New attachments

The new telescoping luffing stub jib attachment can be installed with either a positive or negative offset to suit the lifting project, and has hydraulic extension range of 2.4 to 4.0 metres, a luffing range of -10° to 60° offsets and a max lifting height of the crane to 21.5 metres, with a working radius of 15.3 metres.

When in the reversed position the lifting point can be positioned within 75mm of any obstacle, making it suitable for closer lifting under soffits and overhangs, Unic said.

The new heavy duty rhino hook attachment fits directly to the main boom head, has a maximum lifting capacity of 1.5 tonnes and an offset range of 0°, 20°, 40° & 60°.

Updated model

The new UNIC URW-295-2, builds upon the URW-295 with four new attachments, enhancing its versatility for diverse lifting applications, Unic said.

The new telescoping luffing jib / searcher hook offers a maximum capacity of 750 kg, jib extension range of 1.2 to 2.8 metres, a luffing range of -10° to 60° offsets and a maximum lifting height of 12.5 metres, and a working radius of 8.7 metres.

The UNIC URW-546-2 and URW-295-2 are both equipped with the RaycoWylie i4500 safe load indicator system for enhanced flexibility, both of these models can be upgraded to the Unic Cranes Europe variable outrigger/foot print system.

The new heavy duty rhino hook attachment fits directly to the main boom head, has a maximum lifting capacity of 995kg and a offset range of 0°, 20°, 40° & 60°.
