Verope launches Verotop MX hoist rope

Verotop MX is a new high performance hoist rope from Verope in Germany

Collaborative development of a new crane hoist rope led to what is described as a new standard among rotation resistant types.

As with the rest of the components of a crane the requirements on a rope are much more than simply strength. Precision, endurance and innovative construction are all vital, according to specialist rope manufacturer Verope.

High performance

Its new Verotop MX steel wire hoist rope is a joint development by Verope, Kiswire and KV R&D Center. Construction is 16 strands with compacted outer strands and a specially engineered steel core. Its design reduces spin losses and provides outstanding mechanical characteristics, the company says, especially in multi-layer spooling and long rope falls.

“Our development goal was to create a product that meets the growing demands of highly demanding environments. With Verotop MX, we have succeeded in delivering a solution that combines unprecedented breaking strength with outstanding durability and rotation resistance,” explained Marco Elig, lead developer and managing director at KV R&D Center based in Germany.
